S&P Global will match 100% of your S&P Global PAC contribution of $100 or more with a contribution to any eligible charity or accredited K-12 school of your choice. Through this program, S&P Global continues its commitment to support its employees’ communities.

Will the PAC match the amount I pledge with a charitable contribution to a nonprofit organization?

Yes, we will match employee PAC contributions of $100 or more on a dollar-for-dollar basis with contributions to eligible nonprofit charitable organizations or K-12 schools. By doing so, S&P Global continues its commitment to helping the communities around us.

Are PAC donations tax deductible?

No, under IRS rules individual contributions to PACs are not tax deductible, nor are any matching charitable funds given through the PAC match program.

How much of my contribution is matched?

S&P Global will match 100% of your S&P Global contribution of $100 or more with a contribution to any eligible charity or accredited K-12 school of your choice.

What nonprofit organizations can I designate to recieve a matching gift?

You may choose any tax-exempt nonprofit charitable organization qualified under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. PAC matches to accredited K-12 schools must have a 501(c)(3) or 170(c)(1) status. Some organizations and activities that are not eligible include organizations that are governmental, religous, sectarian, political or lobbying, professional, fundraising or private foundations, and marathons or similar events. You can confirm your non-profit is eligible by S&P Global’s Giving guidelines and find the Cause ID (EIN) by searching for your selection in Benevity's platform. When will my nonprofit organization recieve its matching gift?

Charitable matching gifts will be distributed on an annual basis.

Are K-12 Schools are eligible for matching funds?

For every aggregate annual contribution of $100 or more to S&P Global PAC, S&P Global will match that amount to any eligible 501(c)(3) organization or accredited K-12 school of your choice. Some organizations and activities that are not eligble include organizations that are governmental, religous, sectarian, political or lobbying, professional, fundraising or private foundations, and marathons or similar events.
